Last week, one of my very close friends called me for an advise on something strange and disturbing. Finally, Indian Schools get an open source content and software push through Shiksha India, a non-profit initiative of Confederation of Indian Industries. Shiksha India was launched in Dec 2001. The program is aimed at providing license free software, content and training to school teachers for e-enablement across 19 states in India. They are actively promoting open source course management software Moodle and mathematics software Geogebra.
